A former venture capitalist based in Hong Kong and Mainland China, Mr. Cashell has over twenty five years experience spanning venture capital, private equity and infrastructure investments.  He has been directly involved in founding, investing or growing three firms to a value of over USD250 million each including Zero2IPO.com, I-Quest, and Asia Pacific Investment Partners. Notably, he was the founder of Zero2IPO.com, a technology fund of funds and venture capital facilitator in China focused on facilitating investment in the China tech sector.

Before coming to Mongolia, Mr. Cashell was an investment officer with JAFCO Investments, a Japanese private equity fund management group focused on technology and infrastructure investments.  Mr. Cashell served as JAFCO’s bridge to Silicon Valley and worked closely with the Nomura and JAFCO board in Japan to analyze investments across the region. Further positions he has held include China economist, regional economist, financial analyst, and corporate finance associate primarily while based in Hong Kong. He was also one of the first foreign traders on the Shenzhen stock exchange in January of 1994.
